Prof. Mojsik studied history and classical philology at the University of Warsaw, although his first year of history studies was still at the Białystok Branch. Prof. B. Bravo's and Prof. W. Lengauer's seminars, as well as philological seminars, formed the basis of his research technique, which combines history, philology, but also anthropology. He joined the staff of the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw in 1998, initially as a member of the Department of Polish and General History to the end of the 18th century.

His doctoral thesis, written under the supervision of Professor W. Lengauer, was devoted to the Muses in archaic and classical culture (defence: autumn 2007). It resulted in two books published in 2011, one of which received a review in the "Bryn Mawr Classical Review".

Assistant Dean from 1.09.2019 to 31.08.2020 and Dean of the Faculty of History and International Relations from 1.09.2020.
